Paul E. Eckman

Paul E. Eckman, 93, of Lancaster, passed away on September 13, 2017 at Conestoga View Nursing and Rehabilitation.  He was the loving husband of Ruth E. (White) Eckman.

Born in Kinzers, PA., he was the son of the late Jason and Eva (Kreider) Eckman.

He proudly served in the US Navy 1

st

class during WWII.

Paul spent 28 years with Wohlsen Construction Company retiring as superintendant.

In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, playing golf, reading and spending time with his family.

Paul was a member of Calvary Church.

In addition to his wife Ruth, he is survived by a son, Rev. James Eckman (husband of Margaret) of Omaha, NE; daughters, Susie Smith of St. Louis, MO and Deborah Neff (wife of Tom) of Lancaster, PA; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are sisters, Mildred Herr and Betty Hanes (wife of Fred) and a half-brother Daniel Eckman (husband of Sheila).  He was preceded in death by a son Robert Eckman and a sister Arlene Moore.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service at Calvary Church, 1051 Landis Valley Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601, on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 2:00 PM.  A viewing will be held at the church from 1:00 PM until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice & Community Care, Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, P.O.
