Paul Edward Graeter, Jr., 87, of Lancaster, PA died Tuesday, November 16th, at ManorCare Health Services in Lancaster. He was the husband of Nancy Irvin Graeter and had been married for twenty-two years in May, 2010.
Born in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of the late Paul Edward, Sr. and Lucretia Graeter. He was a Navy senior chief with the Hospital Medical Corpsmen for 28 years. He then managed the Lancaster County Emergency Medical Services for 17 years. He was a volunteer with Hospice of Lancaster County and Lancaster City Police. He was a member of Washington Lodge #154 F&AM in Quarryville, PA; VFW Post #5667; and American Legion Post #34, Lancaster.
He is survived by a stepson, Gary, husband of Maria Irvin of Lancaster; stepdaughter, Debbie Lippart of Lemoyne, PA; three step-grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren; one brother, Jack Graeter of Lancaster. He was predeceased by his first wife, Hazel Graeter; stepdaughter, Bonnie Graeter; and two brothers, Jerry and Charles Graeter.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral from Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA on Friday, November 19th, at 10:30 A.M. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service. Interment will be in Conestoga Memorial Park.
