Pauline J. Heisey, 92, a former resident of Lancaster, died Thursday, March 10, 2011 at her home in York.
She was the wife of the late Elvin N. Heisey who died in 1992. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Jacob H., Sr. and Mazie M. Sensenig Johnson.
Mrs. Heisey was a homemaker most of her life. She also spent six years at Lancaster Toy Co. and ten years at Dutch Gold Honey where she had been employed as a bookkeeper. Pauline was a member of the Lampeter United Methodist Church where she served as church treasurer for nine years. She was a member of the Officers Wives Club-U.S. Army, a Den Mother with the Cub Scouts, affiliated with the Boy Scouts of America European Division, a past member of the XYZ Club which is the Auxiliary of the American Business Club, AARP, and the Lampeter United Methodist Women. She enjoyed needlework, cooking, gardening and traveling.
Surviving is a son, Dana L. husband of Susan Heisey of Parker, CO; a daughter, Gail Y. Good of York; a granddaughter, Abigail Christine Good of York; and three brothers, Jacob H. Johnson, Jr. of Millersville, Harley S. husband of Sherry Johnson of Millersville, and Darwin S. husband of Patricia Johnson of Lancaster.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA with the Rev. David C. Nissly officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6:30 P.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be private in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
