Peter Schrank, Jr.
Peter Schrank, Jr., 85, of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, November 6, 2015. He was the loving husband of Ruth M. (Humphreville) Schrank.
Born in Columbia, PA, he was the son of the late Peter Schrank Sr. and Anna (Stoeger) Schrank.
After attending Columbia High School, Peter studied at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology.
He then went on to work at Permutit in Lancaster, until he took a job with the United States Postal Service, where he was employed until his retirement.
Peter was a proud veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lancaster.
In addition to his wife Ruth, Peter is also survived by a sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Trupe, of Columbia, PA; a niece, Becky, wife of James Gottshall , of Columbia, PA;and a nephew, Jeff, husband of Sue Trupe, of Landisville, PA.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Graveside service at Greenwood Cemetery, 719 Highland Ave. Lancaster, PA 17603 on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Deacon Augustus Mauro officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Peter’s memory may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 31 S. Duke St., Lancaster, PA 17602.
