Raymond C. Forrest, 92, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at Hospice & Community Care. He was the loving husband of Patricia (Sterling) Forrest.
After graduating from high school, Raymond spent much of his career with Sperry New Holland eventually retiring as Plant Manager.
In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf. He was also an avid carpenter and enjoyed renovating their home and cabin in his retirement.
In addition to his wife, Patricia, he is survived by two daughters, Carol Sneath-Zeiders (wife of Vinnie) and Cathy Strawser (wife of Barry) and a son, David Forrest (husband of Cara). Also surviving are four grandchildren, Jennifer, Chad, Katie, Andrew and the late Melissa Ann Sneath; great-grandchildren, Emma, Wyatt, Shane and Kyle; and a brother, Richard Forrest. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Robert Forrest.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at DeBord Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 141 E. Orange St. Lancaster, PA 17602 on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 2:00 PM. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
