Raymond H. Bubb, 89, of Lancaster, died at home on Tuesday, May 28, 2013. He had been under the care of Hospice and Community Care.
He was the husband of the late Shirley Snader Ludwig Bubb who died in 2005. His first wife, the late Kathryn E. Hinkle Bubb died in 1971. Born in Clarksburg, WV he was the son of the late Raymond H., Sr., and Rosena Williams Bubb.
Raymond was employed for many years as a pattern maker at Industrial Pattern Works in York. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lancaster. Mr. Bubb served in the U.S. Army during World War II with the 502 Military Police Battalion. His interests included fishing, bird watching, wood carving and bird photography. He enjoyed making bird houses each year for the Lancaster County Envirothon. His memberships included the Bird Club of Lancaster County, Ducks Unlimited and Trout Unlimited, the Postcard Club of Lancaster, and the North Museum.
Surviving are two nephews, Jan Blasenak and Kerry Blasenak. He was preceded in death by a sister Norma Jane Blasenak. He will be deeply missed by his caregivers, Connie Hutchins, Robin Hertzog, Damaris Maldonado and Serena Cappellano.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Linford D. King officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM. until the time of the service. Interment in Prospect Hill Cemetery, York, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
