in Belmont, Ohio,
Raymond
was the
son
of the late
Orville Virgil
Motter
and
Cenith
Murphy Motter. Raymond
graduated from Belmont High School in 195
1. He was a Korean War Veteran. Raymond worked on the construction of the Ohio Turnpike after
his service in the US Army. He then began his
30+ year career as a diesel truck mechanic for International Harvester Company
in Canton Ohio and Akron Ohio
.
In retirement, Ray
enjoyed flower gardening, and adventures with his wife, Joan.
Raymond’s
memory will remain forever in the hearts of those he is
survived
by

son, Douglas (Patricia) Motter of Lancaster, PA; granddaughters, Lauren, Rebekah (Neil) Clarke, Faith (J
a
red) Feister, Hannah, and Grace;
a sister, Norma Heskett of Belmont, Ohio and brother Ronnie Motter of Arizona
.
In addition to
his

was preceded in death by
his
beloved wife, Elizabeth Joan Motter,
brother, Bill Holland, and sisters, Laura
Williams, Margaret Holland, Ruby
Swallie
, El
i
nor Castello, Martha Heskett, and Linda
Debolt.
Guests are welcome for visitation on
Monday, January 2

from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service, which will begin at 11:00 a.m.
in the Bachman Center at Homestead Village Enhanced Senior Living . Chaplain Wayne Cooley
will officiate. Interment will follow at Chestnut Level Cemetery, Belmont
, Ohio,
at a later date
