Richard A. Adamire, 81, of Lancaster, died Wednesday, September 19, 2012.
He was married 44 years to Martha B. Bates Adamire. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late William R. and Mary Pfoutz Adamire.
Richard retired from Kenosha Auto Transport where he had been employed as the terminal manager. He had also driven bus for Conestoga Transport and Conestoga Tours for many years.
He was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Congregational Church in Lancaster. Richard served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed following the Philadelphia Eagles, was an avid John Wayne fan and enjoyed driving the “Bingo” Bus for many years.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Richard A. Adamire companion of Crystal McFarland of St. Patrick, MO, and Timothy husband of Diana Adamire of Montrose, IA; five daughters, Joan wife of James Roland of FL, Linda wife of Charles Snyder of Lancaster, Tina Willenbring fiancée of Jacob Speraw of Fredericksburg, VA, Karen Bryan fiancée of Thomas Paul of Mount Joy, and Susan Wise of Lancaster; 12 grandchildren, many great grandchildren; and a sister Doris Berger of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by a great grandson Hunter and by two brothers and three sisters.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Trinity E.C. Church, 322 Hershey Ave, Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Bruce Sellers officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Trinity E. C.
