Richard J Dressel, Sr. (Dick), aged 91, passed away on Saturday January 26, 2019. Dick and his late wife, Anne, lived at Willow Valley (Lancaster, PA) since 1993 and, prior to that, in Heritage Park since 1963.
Dick worked in the Engineering Department at DuPont for nearly 40 years. Dick was very involved in the upbringing of his 6 children, and was active with them in Little League, school activities, Parish of the Resurrection, Skyline Swim Club and Boy Scouts.
In their retirement, Dick and Anne remained active, and enjoyed travel and the social life at Willow Valley, where they had many friends.
Dick was predeceased by the love of his life, Anne, in 2014, and is survived by his children Rick (Ruth Ann), Moe (Bobby), Mike (Christina), Pat (Bob), Steve (Angela) and Pete (Sandi). Dick is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
We would like to thank the staff at the Glen of Willow Valley for the compassion and care they provided our father these past several months as his health was in decline.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Appalachian Trail Conservancy (
