Richard P. Hurst, 87, of Lancaster, PA died Friday, September 14, 2012 at Lancaster Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of Marie Eisch Hurst of Millersville. Born in Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Leon and Ida Petery Hurst.
Mr. Hurst was an electrician and appliance repairman for the former Barr Electric and Empire T.V.and Appliance Store. Dick was a retired U.S. Navy Veteran serving in WWII, Korean Conflict and Vietnam. Besides his wife he is survived by a step-granddaughter, Sherry Witmer, two sisters, Geraldine Humphreville and Diane Esbenshade. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Leed, Genevieve Hanley and Doris Harnish, and a brother, Robert Hurst.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial service at Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster PA on Wednesday, September 19th at 11:00 A.M. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
Military Honors will be accorded by the Red Rose Veterans Honor Guard.
