Robert C. Fry, 80, of Lancaster, passed into eternity on Friday, April 5, 2013.
He loved his family and especially his dear wife Jean A. Webb Fry whom he shared 56 years of marriage with. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Lloyd H. and Mabel E. Crist Fry.
Robert made a career in auto collision repair and had owned Fry’s Body Shop in Lancaster for many years. He served as a corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He loved fishing, camping, doing handyman jobs and helping others. Robert enjoyed spending his birthday on July 4
th
with large picnics shared with family and friends.
Surviving besides his wife is a daughter, Joyce Fry; two sons, Steven husband of Bonnie Fry and Charles husband of Judy Fry all of Lancaster; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and a sister, Shirley wife of Roy Sheely of Toledo, OH. He was preceded in death by a brother Walter Fry and by a sister Gertrude Sigman.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. orange St., Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Walter Menges officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the time of the service. Interment with Military Honors in the Centerville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Fry’s memory may be made to Water Street Ministries, 201 S. Prince St., Lancaster, PA 17603.
