Robert D. Frey

Robert D. Frey, 88, of Lancaster, passed away Friday, October 15, 2010 at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late L. Ralph and Winifred Stark Frey. He was the husband of Cynthia Brandt Frey. He was a 1940 graduate of

J. P. McCaskey High School and 1944 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School where he was a member of the Mask and Wig Club. Following College, he entered as the third generation into the family architectural woodworking firm of Frey & Son in Lancaster. After the sale of the company, he continued in his work in his own firm of Robert D. Frey Design. One of his great joys was working with his clients. He was a past vestryman and trustee at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lancaster. He was a member of the Jay-cees,

a past president of the Lancaster Northeast Rotary Club, a member of the Lamberton Lodge #476, Lancaster Lodge of Perfection, Harrisburg Consistory and Zembo Shrine Club of Harrisburg, with affiliation with the Lancaster Shrine Club. He was also a drummer for Bob Troxels Band; the Dixielanders, and also the Rohrerstown Band. In addition to his wife, he is survived by: a daughter, Barbara

Adrienne wife of James Zuercher of Lebanon; a stepson, Michael Reynolds of Freeland, MD; 4 step-grandchildren; 3 step-great grandchildren. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no service.
