Robert E Krouse was a chemical engineer who retired from Hercules, Corporation in 1981. He lived in Willow Valley and formerly lived in Aldan PA and Pittsburgh PA. He was the husband of the late Carrie P. Krouse (nee Pierson). He was born in Philadelphia on July 29, 1916, the son of the late Ottilia E. Krouse Hauch and Edward J. Krouse. He graduated from Central Evening HS and Drexel.
He was a member of Boy Scouts for over 80 years and most recently a member of the Pennsylvania Dutch Council. He was a recipient of the Silver Beaver award.
He was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church where he served on the vestry and active in their Mission Ministries. He was a volunteer for the Office of Aging and the Food Bank.
He is survived by his daughter Marion K. Glasby wife of Herbert S. Glasby III of Pasadena MD, and sons Robert E Krouse Jr., husband of Mary K. Krouse of Chesterfield, VA and William H. Krouse husband of Normajean C. Krouse of New Cumberland PA, seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 18th at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 301 St. Thomas Road, Lancaster, PA 17601, at 11:00 A.M. Friends may greet the family at the church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the St. Thomas Episcopal Church.
