Robert James “Bob” Humphreville

Robert James (Bob) Humphreville, 85, of Brethren Village, a beloved brother, husband, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 14, 2012. Born March 16, 1926 in Lancaster, he was the son of the late John P. and Esther Dorsheimer Humphreville. He was married to his wife Geraldine (Gerry) for a loving 64 years.

Bob retired from Trojan Yacht after 36 years as a Field Service Technician. He was a member of Lamberton Lodge # 46, American Legion, VFW, Lancaster Elks # 134, Lancaster Silver Threads, and Unwind Dance Club. He served in the Navy during WWII on an LSMR (Rocket Ship) in the South Pacific.

Bob enjoyed traveling and dancing, but most of all running his model train display set up in his basement in Leola, PA. Bob was a member of Highland Presbyterian Church.

Bob will be missed by his two children; Karen, wife of Tom Ziemba of Holland, MI, and Ronald, husband of Kathy Humphreville of Leola; five grandsons and nine great-grandchildren, as well as a brother, William, husband of Joan Humphreville of Florida, and a sister-in-law, Betty Humphreville of Ephrata. He was preceded in death by a brother, John Humphreville.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral from the Chapel of Brethren Village, 3001 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, PA on Monday, March 19th at 11:30 A.M. with the Rev. Ann Osborne officiating. Friends may call on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service.
