Robert L. Shaub, Sr.

Robert L. Shaub, Sr, 83, of New Providence, died at home on Monday, January 12, 2015.

He was the husband of the late Anna Mary Sellers Shaub who died in 2000.  Born in Strasburg Twp., he was the son of the late Roy F. and Elizabeth R. Rankin Shaub.

Robert retired from D. M. Stoltzfus, Inc. where he had worked for 25 years.  Prior to that he had been a farmer for many years.  He was a member of the Strasburg and Pequea Sportsman’s Clubs.

For many years he enjoyed spending time at the Buck Softball Field and watching the Solanco Church League play.

Surviving are two sons, Robert L., Jr. husband of Karen Shaub, and Ronald L. husband of Linda Shaub; two daughters, Sue Nolan and Norma Jane wife of Bill Donohue; 6 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; and a brother, Harold S. husband of Jean Shaub.  He was preceded in death by a son Brian Steven Shaub, by a sister Mabel E. Shaub Campbell and by a brother Roy Shaub, Jr.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 17, at 11:00 A.M. at the Richard A. Sheetz Funeral Home, 2024 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Chandler Evans officiating.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.  Interment in the Mt. Nebo United Methodist Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Solanco Meals on Wheels, 73 Mount Hope Rd, Quarryville, Pennsylvania 17566.
