Robert M. Brooks

Robert M. Brooks, 93, of Lancaster entered into rest September 4th, 2014.  Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Amos and Mary Brooks.  He was the husband of the late Lois E. Brooks who passed away in February 2006.  He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II.  He was a member of the First Church of God in Lancaster and enjoyed oil painting in his free time.

He is survived by a daughter, Nancy (wife of Wayne Iverson), and a son, Dale Brooks.  Also surviving are grandsons, Zachary (husband of Breanne Heiner), Lance Brooks and Sean Brooks; and three Great-Grandchildren, Brayden and Brooke Heiner and Christopher Brooks.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at the First Church of God, 344 W. Chestnut St., Lancaster, PA, 17603 with Pastor Don Price officiating.   Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Riverview Burial Park.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Hospice and Community Care, 685 Good Drive, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA  17604-4125.
