Roland P. Buccialia, 96, a resident of Lakeside at Willow Valley, died at the home on Friday, March 21, 2014.
He was married 67 years to Doris Miller Buccialia. Born in Rochester, PA he was the son of the late Michael and Carmela Marapese Buccialia.
Roland retired as the Postmaster in Marlton, NJ after 30 years of service with the U.S. Postal Service.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Lancaster, and enjoyed carpentry and gardening. He had served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Michael W. husband of Dorothy Buccialia of Cape May Courthouse, NJ and their children Michele and Michael, and Rev. Dr. Roland A. husband of Lorna Buccialia of Newtown Square, PA and their children Joy, Andrew husband of Brandine, Joel and Peter. Also surviving are two sisters, Mary Hinchman and Eleanor Bisignano both of Marlton, NJ and a brother Frank Buccialia of Medford, NJ. He was preceded in death by a son Craig Buccialia and by two sisters, Annie Bisignano and Angie Buccialia.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 24, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Willow Street Mennonite Church, 399 E. Penn Grant Road, Willow Street, PA with his son, the Rev. Dr. Roland Buccialia officiating. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in the adjoining church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
