Ronald E. Johnson, 76, a resident of Harrington, DE, formerly of Lancaster, died Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at Delaware Hospice in Milford, DE.
He was married 38 years to Carol S. Shenk Johnson. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Elwood and Elva Ginter Johnson.
Ron had worked for Bell and AT&T for 26 years and then was the owner of Canterbury Communications for 10 years. He enjoyed boating, fishing, crabbing, remodeling projects and traveling.
Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Yvonne M. wife of Ron Edwards of Washington Boro, and Holly A. Garner of Willow Street; a son, Dale Wayne Johnson of Willow Street; and eight grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Richard A. Sheetz Funeral Home, 2024 Marietta Avenue, Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Anne Mason officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in the Silver Spring Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Water Street Ministries, P.O. Box 7267 Lancaster, PA 17604.
