Rosetta “Rosey” K. Herr, 88, of New Danville Pike, died at her daughter’s home on Sunday, February 1, 2015 following a two week illness. She was the widow of Albert H. Herr who died on June 27, 2007.Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna Kelley. Rosey was a member of Pearl St. United Methodist Church, where she served on various committees. She was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for Lester B. Herr & Sons.
Surviving is a daughter, Sherry, wife of Roger Ashley of New Danville; two grandchildren, Chris Craig of Lancaster, and Cyndi Halbeib of Middletown; four great-grandchilden, Gabby, Alisha and Austin Craig, and Taylor Halbeib; a sister, Mary Goldie of Baltimore, MD; two brothers, Walter Kelley of Lancaster and Horace Kelley of Baltimore. She was predeceased by her daughter, Carol Herr.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service at Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA on Friday, February 6, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Debra J. Schreiber officiating.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Entombment in the Shrine of Memories Mausoleum at Conestoga Memorial Park.
