Ruth Blanche (Fletcher) Treichler

Ruth B. (Fletcher) Treichler, 86, of Lancaster passed away at home on Tuesday, October 7, 2014. She was born July 16, 1928, the daughter of the late Frank & Eleanor (Mutzabaugh) Fletcher in Maytown, PA.

Ruth was a WWII Navy Veteran where she served as a Pharmacists Mate. She was a loving wife & mother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband James W. Treichler and her 5 children, Warren husband of Betsy, William and daughters Susan, wife of Rodney Stiffler, Carol companion of Terry Ashby and Beth wife of Richard Ritter; 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson.

Ruth was the second oldest of eleven children and is survived by a brother Donald Fletcher and sisters Caroline Hodson, Sandra Gable, and Lois Smock.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the Richard A. Sheetz Funeral Home, 2024 Marietta Ave., Lancaster, PA 17603 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Barry Smock officiating. The family will greet friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will immediately follow the service in Silver Springs Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Caring Hospice, 101 Good Dr. Lancaster, PA 17603 who made it possible to fulfill our mother’s wish.
