Ruth C. Daniels, 75, of Willow Valley Communities, Lancaster, PA, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Somers Point, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Emily Eliassen Mingin.
She was the wife of Colin W. Daniels to whom she had been married 55 years. She worked as a veterinary hospital office manager and veterinary assistant for many years until her retirement.
A member of Lancaster Church of the Nazarene, she organized many events and groups, including a Cancer Support Group. She was an extremely avid reader, and enjoyed crossword puzzles and collecting owls. After their retirement, she and Colin enjoyed traveling throughout the United States.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter, Cheryl D., wife of Gary Carnahan of Hampton, VA; her son, Colin David, husband of Debbie Jean Daniels of Mays Landing, NJ; and her step-granddaughter, Corrie J., wife of Joseph May of Egg Harbor City, NJ
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral in Lancaster Church of the Nazarene, 2150 New Holland Pike, Lancaster, PA on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with the Pastor Mark Justice officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. A luncheon will be served immediately following the service.
Interment will be in Ahab and Ruth Hill Family Cemetery, N. Adams, MA.
