Ruth R. Diehl, 85, of 675 Willow Valley Square, Lancaster, PA died at the Glen at Willow Valley on September 15, 2010.
Born in Allentown, PA she was the daughter of the late John H. J., and Esther (Savacool) Reinhard. She was married for 39 years to Jackson P. Diehl who died in 2007. In 1943 she graduated from Allentown High School and in 1945 from the secretarial course at Moravian College for Women, in Bethlehem, PA. She was a member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Lancaster.
Mrs. Diehl is survived by her sister, Jane L. Reinhard of Lancaster, PA; her step-daughter, Jacqueline D. Singer of Nahant, MA; her step-son Jackson P. Diehl Jr. of Honey Brook, PA; 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial service at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 750 Greenfield Rd., Lancaster, PA on Monday, September 20th, at 10:30 a.m. Friends may call at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Interment will be at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be sent to Good Shepherd Home at Good Shepherd Plaza, 850 S. 5th St., Allentown, PA 18103.
