, of Lancaster, PA passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016 at the Mennonite Home.

Lehigh
County) PA, on January 20, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Rev. William K. and Mabel O.
Cassel
.
Ruth was a graduate of
Kutztown
High School and the Allentown Business College. She was a secretary employed by Hamilton Watch Co. as well as with the former Sperry & Ford New Holland.
Ruth enjoyed classical music and played both the piano and organ. She was organist at Salem Lutheran Church in
Kissel
Hill for 15 years. She was a current member of
Grandview
United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crewel embroidery, was an avid reader and loved traveling and puzzles.
She volunteered at the
Woodcrest
Villa and Wellspring libraries, and at the Lancaster General Hospital Suburban outpatient pavilion.
Surviving are 2 brothers, Dr. Herbert W.
Cassel
of Franklin IN, and the Rev. L. David
Cassel
of
Manheim and a sister, Bertha E. Cassel of Lancaster.
She was predeceased by her other siblings, Mary S., Esther G., and James A.
Cassel
.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service at the Eagle Commons of

Cruz officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
