Samuel L. Fleming

Samuel L. Fleming, 92, of Lancaster, PA passed away on September 17, 2024. Born in Lancaster, PA he was the son of the late Lawton W. and Mabel Lanning Fleming. 

Sam worked most of his life as a rate man for major common carriers. He earned a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Penn State University in 1982. He was a member of St. Edward's Episcopal Church. He was a 67-year member of Masonic Lodge #43 F. & A. M. and served  as Master of the Lodge in 1989. 

Sam is survived by two children; Samuel Jr and Mercedes Holtrop; four grandchildren; Scott, Shane Fleming, Brent and Curtis Holtrop and a great granddaughter Scotti Holtrop. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marilyn Ellis.

There will be a Masonic service at DeBord Snyder Funeral Home in Lancaster on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 9:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Sam's memory may be sent to the Masonic Center of Lancaster 213 W. Chestnut Street. 

 A celebration of Sam's life will be held at St Edward's Episcopal Church 2453 Harrisburg Pike Landisville.
