Sandra B. Sener, beloved daughter, sister and friend, died Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Landis Homes in Lititz, PA. Born in Lancaster County in 1947, Sandy was the daughter of the late J. Fred Sener III and Nancy B. Sener of Lancaster. Sandy is survived by her sister Patricia S. Diffendall and her husband Norman Diffendall of Lititz and brother Frederick E. Sener of Lancaster, nephews and nieces Michael and Johanna, Tim and Michele, and Nancy and Cam, grandnieces and grandnephews Abbey, Campbell, Cooper, Nicholas, and Madeline, and her beloved cat, Baby. Sandy was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Marsha and David Schuyler of Lancaster. Throughout her life, Sandy was thankful for the support and love of her cherished friends, especially Linda, Mary, Carolyn, Bill and Elizabeth.
Sandy’s journey through life was marked by kindness and a love for her family, community, animals, and art. After graduating from Manheim Township in 1965, she embarked on a new adventure in Boston, Mass. Sandy graduated Garland College with an associate degree in Art. Sandy found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially renovating her home, nurturing her animals, and serving on the Board of Directors and as the Treasurer for Eva’s Kitties, Inc.
A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held at DeBord Snyder’s Funeral Home at 141 East Orange Street, Lancaster, PA 17602 on Friday, May 24, 2024, with the viewing beginning at 11am and the service at 12pm with Pastor Cam Richesson officiating. Interment will follow immediately after the service at Woodward Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations may be made to the charity where Sandy served, Eva’s Kitties, Inc., P.O. Box 590056, Newton Centre, MA 02459.
