Scott L. Phillips, 56 of Lancaster, died at home on Wednesday, March 20, 2013.
He was the life partner of Susan Mapes. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Joseph Phillips of Tennessee and the late Catherine Phillips
Scott was a 1974 graduate of Manheim Township High School. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #134 and enjoyed reading, history and golfing.
Surviving besides his life partner is a sister, Stacey Cooper of Kentucky. He will be greatly missed by Susan’s children, Winfield husband of Regina Mapes of East Petersburg, and Sarah wife of Anthony Ribis and two their sons Anthony, Jr. and Ethan Ribis of Rochester, NY.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Edward A. Dickel officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Scott’s memory may be made to the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602.
