Shirley B. Cherry

Shirley B. (Cutler) Cherry, age 95, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Lancaster General, with family members holding her hand. She was the loving wife of the late Daniel L Cherry. Shirley was born in Matamoros, PA to Lester and Belle Cutler. She was a graduate of Keystone College. Her hobbies included needlepoint, reading and music. Shirley’s children and grandchildren grew up in a safe, comforting place that was a gift to carry through life. She will be lovingly missed by friends and family.

She is survived by sons Steven and Kim Cherry (Thesalon, ON, CA), Daniel J. and Kellie Kirkpatrick (Lynn, MA) and daughter Paula (David) Newton, (Santa Rosa, CA). Seven grandchildren: Sarah (Mike) Cherry-Katz, Josh Cherry, Dan and Lauren Cherry, Rebecca Newton, Rob and Aletha Newton, Kayli (RJ) Tolan, Noah and Lainie Cherry-Matza. Four great-grandchildren: Annika Newton, Nellie and River Tolan, Alden Cherry-Katz.

The funeral service will be a private family event with interment at Pine Grove Cemetery in Matamoros, PA.
