Stanford L. Gilbert
Stanford L. Gilbert, 76, of Lancaster, passed away on Monday November 5, 2012 at Lancaster General Hospital. He was the loving husband of Anette (Lesher) Gilbert.
Born in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Nevin K. and Lucille (Stottlemyer) Gilbert.
He attended J.P. McCaskey and spent much of his professional career with Kunzler & Company and was a proud member of Willow Street United Church of Christ.
In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his loving family and was an active member with the 7th ward club of Lancaster.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters Stephanie L., wife of Joseph McNelis of Lancaster, Kathy A., wife of James Emmerich of Conestoga; 4 grandchildren, Jaime wife of Shaun, Heather, wife of Mitchel, Jacqueline, and Michael; 1 great-grandchild Bailee. Also surviving are two brothers John M., husband of Shirley Gilbert, and Kenneth Gilbert. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers Ronald, Robert, and William.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service at Willow Street United Church of Christ, 2723 Willow Street Pike North, Willow Street, PA 17584, Saturday November 10, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Ron Bohannon officiating. Friends may greet the family at the church 12:00 until the time of the service. Interment will be private in Conestoga Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Mission Committee at Willow Street UCC at the address shown above.
