Stella Louise Spiese

Stella Louise Spiese, 90, of 2115 Lynn Avenue, Lancaster, PA, passed away on Sunday, February 27th, at the Mennonite Home. Born in Powellville, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Mary Amanda Bailey Holland.

Married for nearly 46 years, she spent her life as a loving wife to George C. Spiese Jr. Mrs. Spiese was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting and crocheting in her spare time.

Surviving besides her husband are two daughters, Mary Katharine Hildebrand of Acworth, GA and Patricia Mountain of Columbia, PA; two sons, David Niblet of Salisbury, MD, and Levin D. Collins Jr. of Omaha, NE.  Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, as well as 6 great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by a sister, Marian D’Antonio.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a funeral service from the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA on Thursday, March 3rd, at 2:00 P.M. The family will greet friends from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service. Interment at Conestoga Memorial Park.
