Stuart H. Raub, 77, of Lancaster passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at the Golden Living Center. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Stuart and Marie T h o m s o n Raub. He was married for 54 years to Sarah “Sally” Hartman Raub. Stuart graduated from the former PA Military College as a 2nd Lt. in the U. S. Army. He worked in several positions at Raub Supply from 1956 to 1982. He then opened his own business in 1982, Industrial Piping Systems. From 2003 until 2010, he participated in a clinical trial for the treatment of Alzheimer’s disease. He was a member of the Hamilton Club and St. James Episcopal Church in Lancaster. In addition to his wife, he is survived by: 3 daughters, Christine Wardrop of Lancaster, Corinne Collins of Wilmington, DE, and Marie Burst of Lancaster; 7 grandchildren, Natalie and Andrew Wardrop, Erin and Blaine Collins, and Heather, Caroline, and Madeline Burst; a brother, Peter T. Raub; a sister, Mimi Raub. A memorial service will be held from the St. James Episcopal Church 119 N. Duke St. Lancaster, PA 17602 on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 11 AM. The family will visit with friends from 10 to 11 AM at the church. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
