Vernon J. Walters

Vernon J. Walters, 93, of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Willow Valley Retirement Community.  He was the husband of the late Mary Jane (McClune) Walters.  Born in Lancaster, PA he was the son of the late Oscar and Iona (Little) Walters.

He proudly served in the United States Army.

He is survived by his daughter Beth Egan (wife of Trey) of Lancaster, PA and a son Douglas Walters of Laurel, MD.  He is also survived by two granddaughters Jessica and Kaitlin.

He was predeceased by a sister I. Lorraine Healy and a brother Kenneth Walters

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Funeral Service at Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA 17602 on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 11:00 AM.  A visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  Interment will follow in Salunga Mennonite Cemetery with full military honors.
