Vincent B. Marantz

Vincent B. Marantz, 88, formerly of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Masonic Village. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Jacques I. and Kathryn Frailey Marantz. He was married to Margaret Foster Marantz.

Vincent was a 1941 graduate of McCaskey High School and served in the U. S. Army Air Force during WWII. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans. He worked for Herr & Co. and later for RKB, retiring after 25 years. He was a member of Hamilton Park U. C. C. and a past president of the Consistory. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #43 F. & A. M. and the Zembo Shrine. He was past president and member of the Lancaster Exchange Club; past president of the Lafayette Parent Teachers Association; past president of various dance clubs.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by: a son, Dale Marantz of Fort Myers, FL; 2 stepdaughters, Cynthia wife of Larry Pearson of Cincinnati, OH, Dianne wife of Carl Crone of New Cumberland; 2 stepsons, Robert husband of Susan Keys of East Berlin, Larry husband of Cory Keys of Dover; 9 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jacqueline Haar.

Funeral Services will be held from the Hamilton Park United Church of Christ 1210 Maple Ave. Lancaster, PA 17603 on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 12 noon with interment following in Conestoga Memorial Park. Friends may call from 11 AM until 12 noon at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Hamilton Park United Church of Christ.
