Viola Mae Miller, 92, of Lancaster, PA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy, PA.
Born in Stratton, Nebraska, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Martha Oyer Egle.
She was the wife of the late Rev. Donald F. Miller, United Methodist pastor who died in 1987.
Viola was a devoted partner in ministry with her husband for over 40 years. Her life was a testimony of her faith in Christ and His unconditional love. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lancaster. She worked for many years in the teaching and banking professions.
Viola is survived by two sons, David, husband of Marianne Miller of Fairless Hills, PA, and James, husband of Lori Miller of Belle Isle, FL; two daughters, Ruth, wife of John Doyle of Evansville, IN, and Mary, wife of Gary Chapman of Russell, KY; 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; a sister, Bonnie Bley and a brother, Donald Egle.
A funeral service will be held at Faith United Methodist Church, 1290 Fruitville Pike, Lititz, PA on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Kent E. Kroehler officiating. The family will greet friends at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
