Walter C. “Tom” Taylor, Jr.

Walter C. “Tom” Taylor, Jr., 82, of Lancaster, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 9, 2013 at Hospice and Community Care in Mount Joy.

Born in Leola, he was the son of the late Walter C., Sr. and Kathryn Denlinger Taylor.

Walter retired from Kerr Glass in 1994 where he had worked as an inspector for many years.  He had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a life member of the Millersville V.F.W.  He was a member of the Community United Methodist Church.  His interests included gardening, garage sales, hunting, fishing, baking, cooking, decorating for the holidays and spending time with his family.

Surviving are two sons, Randy H. husband of Vickie Sload of Conestoga, and Jeffrey C. Taylor of Lancaster; two daughters, Torren wife of Charles Liebold of Lancaster, and Tracy R. wife of Merle Eller of Lancaster; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren; and four sisters, Patricia Campbell, Miriam Parmer, Shirley Eisenberger and Marilyn Taylor.  He was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at the Community United Methodist Church, 130 Tennyson Drive, Lancaster, PA with the Rev. Carolene Brubaker officiating.  Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service.  Interment with Military Honors in Riverview Burial Park.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA  17604-4125.
