Wanda A. Manning, 89, of St Anne’s Retirement Community in Columbia, PA., formerly of Lancaster, died Friday, April 15, 2016. She was the loving wife of the late E. Kenneth Manning. Born in Honaker, VA., she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Irsa (Ajnacker) Dougherty.
Wanda was employed by Kahn Lucas, Columbia until her retirement in 1995.
In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and sewing. She made quilts for all of her family- children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and baking, always making shoo fly pies for family events.
One of four children, a brother Andrew M Dougherty Jr, deceased, Sisters, Elizabeth Andrew, deceased, and Annabelle Raia, Phoenix. Also two sons, Robert K. Manning, husband of Kathy of Lititz, and Richard J. Manning, husband of Nancy of Lancaster. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
