Wayne A. Zimmerman
Wayne A. Zimmerman, 84, a resident of Conestoga View, died Monday, March 16, 2015.
He was the husband of the late Mary A. Kachel Zimmerman who died in 2011. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Edwin and Alice Summers Zimmerman
Wayne retired from Mac-it Corp. in 1992 where he had been employed as a supervisor. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Lancaster. An avid bike rider, he was a former member of the Lancaster Bicycle Club and also enjoyed his grandchildren, fishing and volleyball. Wayne served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen L. wife of Thomas Shultz, and Lori Williams both of Lancaster; a son, Terry L. husband of Linda Zimmerman of New Providence; four grandchildren; and a sister, Alice Zimmerman. He was preceded in death by a son Gary.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 E. Orange St., Lancaster, PA with the Rev. William Lentz officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment in Riverview Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the SPCA, 848 S. Prince St., Lancaster, PA 17603.
