William F. Kinderwater, 84, of Lancaster, died peacefully at his home on Thursday, March 18, 2010. Bill was the husband of Frances S. Kinderwater.
He was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to Joseph and Ida Kinderwater. He served his country in the US Navy in the South Pacific during WWII. Following his service, Bill graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in English.
He moved to Lancaster in 1955 and established the initial Junior Achievement program in Lancaster County. He had a distinguished career in sales, marketing, and management for both national and local firms. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife of 53 years, he is survived by four sons: Kurt M. (Valerie), Colorado Springs, CO; Carl F. (Christine), Elizabethtown; Craig W. (Pamela), Lancaster; Eric J.N. (Joanne), Lancaster; and one daughter, Anne S.K. Carroll (Andrew), Lancaster; and twelve grandchildren: Linda, married to Adam Chamberland; Joe, Max, Kirby, Kyle, Hannah, Kate, Michael, Paul, Josh, Helena, and Evelyn.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 22, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 East Orange St., Lancaster, at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends and family on Sunday, March 21, at the Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, 141 East Orange St., Lancaster, from 3 to 5 PM. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
