Yvonne Marie Earle Link was born in Succasunna, NJ, January 2, 1922, and passed away at Willow Valley, Lancaster, PA after a brief illness on February 20, 2012. She was a creative artist, photographer, musician, a woman of strong faith and deeply loved by her family.
She was a graduate of Western Maryland College, Westminster, MD and attended the University of Delaware, Newark, DE, where she did master’s level work in library science. During her long and eventful life she was a Methodist Minister’s wife and school librarian until retiring in 1991 at Newark, DE. She subsequently moved to Willow Valley Retirement Home in Lancaster, PA where she continued to be an active member of the First Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her brother Malcolm David Earle, Succasunna NJ, daughter Kathi Whitten, of Virginia, son Colonel John Jeffry Link, USAF Retired, of Hawaii, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A memorial service will be Friday, February 24th at 2:30 PM from First Presbyterian Church, Lancaster, PA and internment on Saturday, February 25th at 12 noon from the Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Succasunna, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to any of her favorite charities: The Humane Society, Child Fund International, Heifer International, or donations to her church, First Presbyterian of Lancaster, PA.
